Demonstration


Outline:

In 1993, President Clinton of the United States and Prime Minister Miyazawa of Japan implemented a project call GOIN under the Common Agenda for Cooperation in Global Perspective. GOIN stands for Global Observation Informatin Network. GOIN's purpose is to exchange global environmental data via information networks within and between the U.S. and Japan, to identify existing capabilities and weaknesses, to strengthen bilateral cooperation in earth observation programs, and to serve as a prototype for future global observation network collaboration.

Within the GOIN frame work, the Tokai University Research & Information Center(TRIC) and the University of Alaska, Fairbanks/Geophysical Institute(UAF/GI) are cooperating to demonstrate the utility of disaster monitoring from space by exchanging and integrating various satellite images via internet.The title of the demonstration is:
