Geo-referenced Images of Capitals in Asia
The 30th anniversary Project of Asian Conference on Remote Sensing (ACRS)

Outline:
General Conference of Asian Association on Remote Sensing (AARS) held on the 15th November 2007 has decided on the publication of “Geo-referenced Images of Capitals in Asia ” in digital form in cooperation of AARS member countries and regions for celebrating the 30th anniversary of Asian Conference on Remote Sensing (ACRS). The dataset will be stored in DVD and distributed to the participants at the 30th ACRS to be held in October 2009 in Beijing, China.
Objectives:
1)  to demonstrate all variety of satellite images of earth observation satellites launched by Asian countries and regions as well as by Western countries by showing geo-referenced image of capitals in Asia,
2)  to encourage AARS members to recognize how important is to share data and information by distributing geo-referenced image of capitals in DVD to all AARS members and ACRS participants in 2009
