"It's five months to go!"

1. Abstract Submission 
We are pleased to inform you that we have received more than 70 abstracts until the end of January. However, in order to allow more people who are still considering to attend our symposium, we have decided to extend the deadline of the abstract and papers as follows.

28 February 2006 : Deadline for Abstract submission 
31 March.   2006 : Deadline for Full Paper for applying to Student Award
10 April    2006 : Deadline for Full Paper

Please be sure that abstracts submitted in February will notbe included in the candidates of the travel funding  from ISPRS.

2. CATCON4
The ISPRS Foundation has approved Commission VI to organize the educational software contest CATCON4 at the Com. VI Symposium.The following awards will be given to the winners.
      Gold    Award: $1000
      Silver   Award: $700
      Bronze Award: $500

3. Keynote Speakers

The Rector of United Nations University, Prof. Dr. Hans van Ginkel, has kindly consented to present a keynote address at the Symposium.Prof. Dr.-Ing. Joachim  Hohle of Aalborg University also kindly accepted to give a keynote address. The title of his presentation is
"Education and training in photogrammetry and related fields -  remarks on the presence and the future"

4. Young authors award

The organizing committee of Commission VI Symposium decided to present the Young Authors Award including 500$ to the young authors who have submitted excellent papers to the symposium.
